I've been a journalist based in Orange County for more than 25 years. I worked at the Los Angeles Times and its sister paper, the Daily Pilot, for 18 years before going digital in August 2008. A memoir of my years on the religion beat at The Times will be published by HarperCollins in February. It's titled "Losing My Religion: How I Lost My Faith Reporting on Religion in America."
